How do I know what size of skip bin to get?

To help you estimate the size of skip bin you will need for your waste, imagine it as a pile and multiply the length x width x height to get the number of cubic metres you will approximately need.

What is the difference between a skip bin and a walk in bin?

These are two types we have available. Skip bins are trapezoid in shape, which is smaller at the bottom and larger on the top. Walk in bins are larger in size and capacity, starting from 4 cubic meters. The rear end of walk in bins opens up so you can enter the unit.

How much waste can I put in my skip bin?

For safety reasons, wastes cannot go over the top of the skip bin so make sure that your wastes will not overflow as we may not be able to contain wastes higher than the brim.

Does the skip bins have weight limits?

Yes, skip bins and hooklifts may be heavy duty but generally, they are able to hold approximately 500 kilograms per cubic metre. Larger skip bins may have additional limits, so feel free to ask us the weight limit of your skip bin before you order.

Can I keep the skip bins for as long as I need?

We have a standard number of days to keep our skip bins for hire, but you can always hire them for additional weeks so that you can use our skip bins for as long as you need to.

How much access will I need for my skip bin?

Each skip bin size may have different access requirements, but generally, a minimum width clearance of 2.7 metres and height clearance of 4 metres are needed.
